We’re The Good Times and we play soul, Motown, funk and pop classics. We love to cover Al Green, Sam & Dave, Wild Cherry, Arethra, Wilson Pickett, The Supremes, Dusty, Simply Red, Kylie and many many more. Our rhythm section – Tony, David and Graham – is the best around for miles and they create the perfect vibe for dancing. The horn section – Viv and Marcus – play all of the riffs you know, and they love and belt out solos on the trumpet and sax. Sophie tops it all off with her strong and energetic vocals. We all love to perform and put on a good show – we play our music for you – the audience.
We are based in Gloucestershire (Cam & Dursley) and collectively have been gigging for donkey’s years! We’ve played the Cam Beer Festival, Dursley Pride, Dursley Rocks, Coaley Festival, Dursley After Hours, The Spot and at the Berkeley Arms Cam over the years.

To book us
To book us for a private event we will need to discuss with you your requirements ahead of the gig. Our prices generally cover two 45 minute sets, although festival sets are often shorter. We will need access to the event space at least 2 hours before, and 1 hour after the gig is finished. We are happy to play festivals where we may share a backline.
We are happy to discuss music choices with you. We have a broad repertoire between us of soul, Motown, funk, blues, R&B, jazz and pop. We would be happy to learn some tunes for your event!
All of our equipment is PAT tested and we have full indemnity insurance.
